Dehydrating food is a great skill to learn. It is easy to do, can be done with no equipment (but you will get much better results with a dehydrator) and offers many benefits to your long term storage. Dehydrated foods are long lasting, light weight, require no refrigeration and can be eaten as is with no additional cooking or preparation, all key ingredients for a food storage program.
